Derek Nguyen (Writer/Director) is a screenwriter, producer, director, and playwright.Derek was a 2004 fellow at the Sundance Institute’s Screenwriters Lab for the screenplay adaptation of his play, Monster (East West Players, Pan Asian Repertory Theatre, Edgar Allen Poe nomination) and a 2004 ScreenwritingFellow at the New York Foundation for the Arts. Seeing Red (co-written and directedby Liselle Mei) was a part of the 2007 Tribeca Film Festival’s All-Access Alumni Program and the 2007 IFP Market’s No Borders Program. Derek received the 2006 Urban Artist Initiative/NYC fellowship and is working on several film projects including creative consulting on Sundance Institute project Stones in the Sun (written and directed by Patricia Benoit), writing Noguchi with director Risa Morimoto (Wings of Defeat), and writing Baby Daddies (to be directed by Derek). Blake Ashman-Kipervaser (Producer) is an independent film producer based in New York City. He has worked as a producer on the feature films Prince Of Broadway directed by Sean Baker (Independent Spirit & Gotham Award Nominee, Winner of 18 Intʼl Festivals); The Lottery directed by Madeleine Sackler (Shortlisted for Best Documentary Feature 83rd Academy Awards); 2012: Time for Change featuring Sting, David Lynch, Ellen Page (Rio, Sao Paulo, !F Istanbul Film Festivals); and Being In The World directed by Tao Ruspoli (Winner- Brooklyn Intʼl, Berkeley, and Vail Film Festivals). These films were released theatrically by Elephant Eye Films, Variance Films, and Mangusta Productions (respectively). Blake has produced numerous shorts including Mister Green directed by Greg Pak (SXSW) and the upcoming The Hairy Beast directed by Paz de la Huerta(Boardwalk Empire, Enter the Void). He has alsoworked as a distributor on several films for Mangusta Productions including The Living Wake directed by Sol Tryon (starring Jesse Eisenberg), FIX directed byTao Ruspoli, and 2012: Time for Change. Born and raised in Miami, Blake began producing in the S. Florida filmscene, working on films by Larry Clark (Bully), Allison Anders(Things Behind the Sun), Michael Moore (Farenheit 9/11), and producing earlymusic videos for Iron & Wine. In 2004, he relocated to NYC and foundwork at Moxie Pictures on commercials and as a co-producer on the series Greg the Bunny for IFC.He is currently developing the feature film Anafi to be directed by Adam BhalaLough (The Carter, Weapons, Bomb the System) in 2011. Blake resides inSunnyside, Queens with his wife and daughter.

Shannon McCoy Cohn (Producer)is an independent film/TV producer and lawyer. She has worked with Mangusta Productions, an international film production company based in New York City, Rome and Los Angeles, since 2006 producing and distributing such award-winning films as Being in the World (2010), winner Audience Award, Brooklyn Film Festival and Best Documentary, Vail Film Festival;  2012 Time for Change (2010) featuring Sting, Ellen Page and David Lynch and The Memento Mori Project by Paz de la Huerta.  She recently completed filming a new travel series, Sea Nation, which she produced and appears on camera alongside Globe Trekker’s Megan McCormick, currently airing on Discovery Channel International and National Geographic.  Shannon attended the Graduate Film Program at NYU’s Tisch School of the Arts and has a law degree from Vanderbilt University.
